Location: Flint, MI
Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time | Office
Hours:
7:30 AM-4:00 PM. Part-time schedule and expected weekly hours will be determined based on availability and business needs.

Swank Builders is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to help keep our financial records, vendor information, and day-to-day office operations running smoothly.

As our Accounting Clerk
, you'll help support the financial and administrative side of the company. You'll assist with accounts payable and receivable, process invoices and payments, maintain accurate records, coordinate vendor documentation, and help keep our office organized. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working independently, enjoys keeping track of details, and is willing to pitch in wherever needed to help the team succeed.
- Enter invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial information accurately and on time.
- Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
- Process, code, and post vendor invoices and other transactions.
- Help reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer records.
- Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical accounting files.
- Prepare basic financial reports and summaries as requested.
- Coordinate vendor onboarding paperwork and maintain current trade partner agreements and insurance documentation.
- Help ensure vendor and financial records remain complete and up to date.
- Provide general administrative support, including filing, scanning, answering phones, and responding to internal inquiries.
- Help maintain an organized and professional office and showroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with other departments and assist with additional administrative needs as they arise.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfort working with numbers, financial information, and computer-based systems.
- Strong data-entry and typing skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while staying organized.
- Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential company and financial information.
- Dependable, team-oriented approach with a willingness to help where needed.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or administrative experience.
- Experience using Quick Books, Sage, or similar accounting software.
- Basic understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
- Experience working with vendor records, invoices, or construction-related accounting is a plus.
- W-2 employment.
- Part-time or full-time scheduling opportunities.
- Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
