The Administrative Assistant
Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 depending on degree and experience.
This key associate at Hope Network provides administrative support across several departments, ensuring a quality service environment and a positive role‑model culture for both internal and external customers. The position requires knowledge and experience in customer service, administrative support, automated systems, file record systems, word processing, and data entry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Regular and predictable attendance is essential: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with a 1‑hour lunch.
- Act as a positive role model and team player in all programmatic and organizational activities.
- Provide exemplary customer service, always courteous, responsive, professional, and helpful to the organization’s internal and external customers.
- Assist staff by answering telephone, filing, making copies, emailing, scheduling meetings and conferences, and faxing documents.
- Assist with data collection and data entry.
- Actively monitor and provide feedback on assigned budget line items.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings.
- Assist with office maintenance, which may include assigned tasks indoors and outdoors.
- Work both independently and as part of a team.
- Perform other administrative activities or functions as deemed appropriate and assigned by supervisor.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Office Management Courses preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in both written and verbal formats to meet position responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to use word processing, database, spreadsheet and graphic computer programs.
- Personable, positive, and enthusiastic attitude, with capability to deal effectively with all people.
- One year of clerical experience in an office setting.
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn, the use of technological advances that include, but is not limited to:
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet, fax/copy machines, cell phones, etc. - Ability to interact effectively with local and state government representatives, individuals, staff, referral sources, and other designated individuals.
