Salary: Apprentice wage

At Age Connects North East Wales (ACNEW), we are a friendly, independent charity dedicated to helping older people stay independent and live happily in their own homes. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and caring Business Administration Apprentice to join our supportive team in Flint.

What You’ll Be Doing (Your Day-to-Day)As our apprentice, you’ll get hands‑on experience in how a busy charity runs. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Being the Face & Voice of ACNEW: Answering phone calls politely, taking messages, and checking the answerphone to make sure our clients get the help they need.
- Keeping Us Organized: Supporting the management team with daily admin, keeping track of office stock (leaflets, stationery, stamps), and helping with stock counts.
- Tech & Data Management: Learning to use our specialized Charity Log database to record incoming referrals and keep client records up to date.
- Intro to Finance: Gaining highly valuable skills by inputting income and expenses into Quick Books Online (QBO) and helping to create monthly client invoices.
- Client Connection: Helping to coordinate our Toenail Cutting service by speaking with clients, undertaking simple assessments, and booking appointments.
- Earn While You Learn: An apprentice wage for 30 hours a week, with dedicated support to help you gain your qualifications.
