Grant Coordinator
Job Summary
The Grant Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, planning, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating all Flint Community Schools federal grants including Title I, Title II, Title III, and Title IV. The Coordinator serves as the District's primary grant administrator by providing professional guidance, technical assistance, fiscal monitoring, compliance oversight, and recommendations to support successful implementation of grant-funded programs. This position works under the direction of the Chief Innovation Officer and provides professional recommendations;
however, final approval and decision-making authority remain with the Chief Innovation Officer.

QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, Education, Grants Management, or a closely related field is required. Master's degree is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience administering federal, state, or local grant programs required. Experience developing and managing grant budgets. Experience with grant compliance, procurement, reimbursement requests, and financial reporting. Experience preparing grant applications, amendments, and required state and federal reports. Experience in public education or governmental grant administration preferred.
Skills:
Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local grant regulations. Knowledge of Michigan Department of Education grant programs and reporting systems. Knowledge of Title I, Title II, Title III, Title IV, IDEA, Section 31a, ESSER (as applicable), and other state and federal education grants.
