Video Production Specialist
Candidates must submit a portfolio, demo reel, or links to previous work that demonstrate exceptional storytelling, advanced editing skills, and a proven ability to grow and engage audiences. Work samples should highlight long-form storytelling, episodic or series-based content, or content strategically designed to maximize audience retention, engagement, and platform-native viewing behavior.
Job DutiesVideo Editing Post Production:
Insert intentional dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects to enhance the story. Cohesively tell a story through NLE (non-linear editing) using video, graphics, music, VO, and sound design. Cutting promos from podcasts, events, interviews, and live events. Create content optimized for social media platforms, aligned with company-wide campaigns and social media trends. Create quick, same-day-turnaround content for event promotion and recaps.
Develop conversion-driven promotional content for digital platforms (paid traffic). Operate computer editing systems and equipment used for video content creation (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.). Improve video and sound quality using various software. Edit the video to include pres elected music, interviews, sound clips, and other key elements of the project. Assist in archiving footage and finished projects in a highly organized manner.
Capture Video Content:
Assist in capturing video content, including but not limited to b-roll from various events (on and off campus), labs/classrooms, interviews, etc.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Platform and Asset Management:
Assist in managing the University's You Tube Channel. Digital Asset Management:
Assisting in archiving RAW footage and completed projects.
Produce course preview videos for online graduate programs.
