Position Summary
Flint Cultural Center Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Spanish Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic educator who fosters a love of language learning, builds strong relationships with students and families, and creates an engaging classroom environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired. Required Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate World Language (Spanish) endorsement.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong work ethic.
- Consistent, reliable attendance.
- Ability to accept and apply feedback to improve performance.
- Commitment to the school’s goals, mission, and values.
- Build a classroom culture where students love learning and enjoy coming to school.
- Teach Spanish language and culture through engaging, student-centered instruction.
- Collaboratively implement and grow with fellow faculty and staff.
- Develop strong, positive relationships with families and encourage their investment in student learning.
- Work with Cultural Center educators to support a cohesive, campus-wide culture focused on student success.
- Support students in developing communication skills, cultural awareness, and global citizenship.
- Differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Demonstrate professionalism, respect, and ethical conduct at all times.
- Highly qualified and certified to teach in the State of Michigan, with appropriate credentials determined by FCCA.
- Strong record of academic achievement and extracurricular leadership.
- Willingness to participate in extracurricular and co-curricular activities, staff development, and curriculum planning.
- Demonstrated high character, professionalism, and dedication to continuous improvement.
- Experience collaborating effectively with colleagues.
- Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written).
Salary is determined by the FCCA matrix. Candidates with successful prior teaching experience may be placed higher on the scale. Full health, dental, and vision benefits are included.
