Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and qualified GSRP Lead Teacher to join our team. The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate, research-based curriculum in alignment with GSRP standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates a deep understanding of early childhood education, child development, and culturally responsive practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans using the Creative Curriculum.
  • Conduct child observations and assessments using TS Gold or other GSRP-approved tools.
  • Maintain child portfolios and documentation to inform instruction and support individualized learning goals.
  • Foster strong relationships with families through regular communication and home visits.
  • Collaborate with the associate teacher, early childhood specialist, and other team members to support children's development.
  • Ensure compliance with all GSRP requirements and licensing regulations.
  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that supports social-emotional and academic development.
Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Development OR a bachelor's degree in a related field with a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate and a ZA/ZS endorsement.
  • Meets GSRP Lead Teacher qualifications as defined by the Michigan Department of Education.
  • Experience working with preschool-age children in a classroom setting.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
  • Knowledge and experience with the Creative Curriculum & TS Gold.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
