Paraprofessional (Full-Time) - Flint, MI
School Year | August 17, 2026 - June 11, 2027
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessionals to support students across multiple school settings in the Flint, Michigan area for the school year. This is a full-time opportunity working directly with students who require academic, behavioral, and personal care support throughout the school day.
Position Details
Assignment Dates:
August 17, 2026 - June 11, 2027
Schedule:
Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
Typical
Hours:
7:15 AM - 3:15 PM, or
8:15 AM - 4:15 PM
(Varies by assigned school building)
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities
Assignments may include:
Providing 1:1 support for students in:
Severe impairment classrooms
Resource classrooms
Self-contained classrooms
Cognitively impaired programs
Emotionally impaired programs
All grade levels (elementary, middle, and high school)
Providing 1:1 support in general education classrooms for students with mild to moderate support needs.
Assisting students with daily living activities, including:
Toileting and diapering
Personal hygiene support
Mobility assistance, as needed
Supporting students academically, behaviorally, and socially throughout the school day.
Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, therapists, and administrators to help students achieve educational goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet at least one of the following requirements:
Earned 60 or more semester hours of college credit, OR
Obtained an Associate Degree or higher, OR
Passed the ETS Para Pro Assessment with a score of 460 or higher, OR
Achieved qualifying scores on the College Board SAT:
Minimum 480 in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, AND
Minimum 530 in Mathematics
