Position Overview
Concord Academy of Petoskey is seeking a passionate and dynamic full‑time Pre‑K–12 Music Teacher to inspire students across all grade levels. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and grow a comprehensive music program within a creative, student‑centered environment.

Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging music instruction for students in grades Pre‑K–12
- Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum, including general music, vocal, and/or instrumental instruction
- Integrate music with other subject areas and support the school’s STEAM‑focused approach
- Organize performances, concerts, and school‑wide musical events
- Foster creativity, confidence, and a love of music in students of all ages and skill levels
- Collaborate with staff to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities
- Assess student progress and communicate effectively with families
- Bachelor’s degree in music or music education
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (Music Education endorsement)
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills across multiple grade levels
- Ability to teach a variety of music styles and disciplines (vocal and/or instrumental)
- Passion for arts integration and innovative teaching practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
