Position: Director of Student Housing and Residence Life

Director of Student Housing and Residence Life

Director of Student Housing and Residence Life oversees the student residential community, ensuring a safe, engaging environment that supports undergraduate development.

Responsibilities
  • Administer housing for 400+ students, manage finances, budgeting, and produce residence life publications.
  • Collaborate with campus units to maintain a first‑rate living and learning community.
  • Direct residence life staff to create a positive, multicultural, learner‑centered community that exemplifies best practices in student development.
  • Provide leadership in the selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of resident assistants; coordinate weekly staff meetings.
  • Offer crisis‑response leadership, handle on‑call duty, and train staff in emergency policies.
  • Assist with admissions and student‑life events, including orientations, welcome weeks, and family days; serve on campus committees as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of professional residence‑life experience, including supervision of student staff.

  • Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to lead a diverse team of professional staff and resident assistants.
