Position: Assistant Director for International Student and Scholar Services (Hybrid)

Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of the Center for Global Engagement and Senior International Officer, the Assistant Director for International Students and Scholar Services will serve as the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) and Responsible Officer (RO). The Assistant Director will lead comprehensive immigration advising for international students, scholars, and their dependents, and will also support the Director with day‑to‑day operations.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the institutional immigration compliance and reporting lead as PDSO and RO.
  • Manage SEVIS/Sunapsis and provide comprehensive immigration advising and education to international students and scholars.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve policies, procedures, and communications.
  • Train and consult campus stakeholders on immigration compliance.
  • Coordinate cross‑campus services, health insurance, and crisis response.
  • Support CGE operations, planning, and growth initiatives, and international student and scholar experience programming.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident (to comply with Homeland Security regulations).
  • One or more years of experience as a Designated School Official (DSO) at an accredited institution of higher education, advising international students.
  • Experience with SEVIS and a web‑based International Student & Scholar Management (ISSM) software platform (e.g., Sunapsis or Terra Dotta).
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree.
  • One year experience as a Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) and/or Responsible Officer (RO).
  • Expertise in developing policies and procedures to support international students and scholars.

Work Modes

Hybrid:
The position requires both onsite and offsite work. An employee is expected to have a recurring onsite presence and may be required to work onsite more frequently at the discretion of unit leadership.
