Position Overview
Genesee Academy is seeking a dynamic and creative Visual Art Teacher to join our passionate team for the upcoming school year.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach visual arts to elementary, middle, and/or high school students.
- Design and deliver engaging lessons in drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and art appreciation.
- Foster students' creativity, self-expression, and artistic skills.
- Organize student artwork displays and participate in school events and exhibitions.
- Maintain a positive, organized, and inspiring classroom environment.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to refine teaching strategies and curriculum.
- Evaluate student progress through assignments, assessments, and projects
- Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field (preferred).
- Michigan Teaching Certificate preferred.
- Experience teaching art to school-age students is preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to supporting students' academic, artistic, and personal growth.
