Effective Date: 25-26 School Year Supervision:
Building Principal

Summary:

The Lunchroom/Playground Aide is responsible for ensuring the safety and supervision of students in both the lunchroom and playground areas.

Terms of Employment:

10:00-1:40 Monday through Friday, student days only and may be adjusted as agreed to between Principal and Employee. Possibly additional hours.

Work Environment:
  • Work is performed at the Flint Cultural Center Academy and may include other areas of the school.
  • There is limited exposure to physical risk.
Essential Duties (May include, but not limited to):
  • Transport students to and from cafeteria and playground.
  • Provide and model directions for students on proper cafeteria manners.
  • Ensure cafeteria and playground are safe environments.
  • Administer lower level first aide to students.
  • Be able to handle student disputes and concerns.
  • Plan and implement daily age appropriate activities on playground or inside recess.
  • Work in cooperation with the principal.
  • Follow all program and district rules, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professional attitude and loyalty to the school.
  • Treat each individual with respect and dignity.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the principal.
Qualifications:
  • Previous work with school age students preferred.
  • Must be able to relate well to elementary students, school personnel and the general public.
Compensation:

$12.48 per hour based upon qualifications and experience
