• A valid Michigan Teacher's Certificate.
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• A valid State of Michigan endorsement(s). (e.g., EX, DI, DX, )
• Experience working with K-8 students.
• Knowledge of STEAM and educational technology.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Facilitate daily SMART Lab instruction.
• Integrate STEAM concepts through project-based learning.
• Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and provide individualized and small‑group instruction to adapt curriculum to student needs.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies (inquiry, group discussion, lecture, discovery, etc.).
• Translate lesson plans into learning experiences to optimize instructional time.
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere.
• Evaluate students' academic and social growth, maintain records, and prepare progress reports.
• Communicate with parents through conferences and other means to discuss progress.
• Maintain current student data, including academic progress measures.
• Maintain SMART Lab equipment and inventory.

Newly hired employees must satisfactorily pass reference checks.

Salary and exceptional fringe benefits based upon BEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
