Minimum Qualifications- A valid Michigan Teacher's Certificate.
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- A valid State of Michigan endorsement(s). (e.g., EX, DI, DX, )
- Experience working with K-8 students.
- Knowledge of STEAM and educational technology.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Facilitate daily SMART Lab instruction.
- Integrate STEAM concepts through project-based learning.
- Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and provide individualized and small‑group instruction to adapt curriculum to student needs.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies (inquiry, group discussion, lecture, discovery, etc.).
- Translate lesson plans into learning experiences to optimize instructional time.
- Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere.
- Evaluate students' academic and social growth, maintain records, and prepare progress reports.
- Communicate with parents through conferences and other means to discuss progress.
- Maintain current student data, including academic progress measures.
- Maintain SMART Lab equipment and inventory.
Newly hired employees must satisfactorily pass reference checks.
Annual SalarySalary and exceptional fringe benefits based upon BEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
