GeneralSummary:
The Recruitment & Outreach Specialist is responsible for seeking out and recruiting prospective students to the college. This includes traveling to high schools and attendingcollege fairs and other community events to connect with prospective students andbuild/maintain relationships with stakeholders. The Recruitment & Outreach Specialist is also responsible for supporting students through the enrollment process, responding to inquiries, leading campus tours, and assisting with various campus events underthe supervision of the Director of Admissions.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain strong relationships with high school counselors, career and technical education instructors, teachers, administrators, community organizations,employers, and other educational partners.

- Create and conduct presentations for students, parents, educators, and community groupsregarding academic programs, admissions, financial aid, scholarships, dual enrollmentopportunities, workforce training, and student support services.
- Identify new outreach opportunities and cultivate partnerships that increase awareness of the College throughout the service area.
- Promote dual enrollment, workforce development and continuing education, transfer,and degree/certificate opportunities.
- Travel extensively throughout the College's service area and surrounding communities to support recruitment initiatives.
- Guide prospective students through the admissions and enrollment processes.
- Provide accurate information regarding admission requirements, academic programs,financial aid, placement testing, orientation, and registration.
- Assist students in completing admissions applications and required documentation.
- Maintain ongoing communication with prospective students to encourage applicationcompletion and enrollment.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to students, families, faculty, staff, and community members.
- Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, online inquiries, and walk-in visitors.
- Resolve student concerns or refer them to appropriate campus resources.
- Maintain accurate records within the Student Information System (SIS) and Customer Relationship
- Monitor prospective student pipelines and conduct follow-up communications.
- Assist in achieving institutional enrollment and retention goals.
- Maintain knowledge of college programs, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare recruitment data and reports for supervisor as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Two (2) years of experience in college admissions, sales, marketing, public relations,or a related field.
- Availability to travel and work some evenings and weekends as required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher).
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing (includingtext and email).
- Effective presentation skills for both small and large audiences of diverse populations.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish desirable.
- Knowledge of student information systems such as Ellucian Colleague.
