RACS+ Program Coordinator

The RACS+ Program Coordinator (RACS+ PC) is responsible for the daily coordination and operation of the RACS+ academic support program. The Coordinator ensures students receive quality academic assistance in a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment that promotes student achievement and aligns with Motherly Intercession's mission.

The RACS+ PC oversees student enrollment, assessments, academic success plans, progress monitoring, enrichment activities, attendance, transportation, and family engagement. The Coordinator works collaboratively with students, parents/caregivers, schools, staff, volunteers, and community partners to identify student needs and support academic and personal success.

The position is responsible for supervising volunteers and Peer Mentors, maintaining accurate program records and data, preparing reports, supporting program policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with organizational and program requirements. The Coordinator also assists with resource development, facility and computer lab oversight, transportation coordination, and maintaining a clean and safe learning environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving, and classroom management skills, along with the ability to work effectively with children, families, staff, schools, and community partners.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in a similar educational or program coordination role.
  • Experience working with children and families and supporting academic success.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management.
  • Experience with data collection, documentation, and report writing.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, dependability, and sound decision-making.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and communities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel locally as needed.
Required
  • Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Current automobile insurance.
  • DMV driving record.
  • Successful completion of required federal and state background checks, including DHS Central Registry.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with agency policies and procedures.
