The OpportunityOur client is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join its investment team in Michigan. This individual will play an active role throughout the investment lifecycle, from evaluating new opportunities and executing transactions to supporting portfolio companies and creating long-term value.
This position offers significant exposure to senior leadership, direct involvement in investment decision-making, and meaningful responsibility across live deals and portfolio initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Investment Evaluation & Execution- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including LBO, valuation, and operating models.
- Conduct financial, industry, and competitive analysis to assess potential investments.
- Support due diligence processes and coordinate with external advisors.
- Prepare investment memorandums, presentations, and materials for internal review.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and analyze key operating metrics.
- Assist management teams with strategic initiatives and growth opportunities.
- Evaluate add-on acquisition opportunities and support integration efforts.
- Participate in board meeting preparation and portfolio reporting processes.
- Conduct industry research to identify attractive investment themes.
- Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities.
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating new acquisition targets.
- 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, consulting, or a related field.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
