Under the general supervision of the Clinical Engineering Program Manager, responsible for the duties relating to the purchase operation, safety, maintenance, and quality assurance of patient care equipment as outlined by the Medical Equipment Plan and following organizational and departmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Maintains an accurate and up to date inventory of equipment
- Assures all equipment has inspection procedures for safety, performance and PM’s
- Perform pre-acceptance inspection of equipment prior to initial use
- Assures all equipment has a routine inspection schedule
- Performs routine inspections on equipment
- Assures all equipment has accurate and up to date service histories and statuses
- Associates degree or equivalent in Biomedical Electronics or Electronics Engineering Technology
- Valid and current Michigan drivers license
- Two years of experience maintaining and repairing medical electronic equipment.
