Banquet Server

Location: Greenville, SC

Position Type: Part-Time / Full-Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

Reports To: Event Manager / Banquet Captain

Position Summary

The Banquet Server is responsible for delivering professional, attentive service during private events, banquets, and catered functions. This role ensures that guests receive a seamless and high-quality experience from setup through breakdown. Banquet Servers play a key role in executing events with precision, efficiency, and hospitality.

Job Responsibilities
  • Set up banquet spaces according to event specifications (tables, linens, place settings, etc.)
  • Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain awareness of event timelines and service flow
  • Clear tables and reset areas during and after events
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and event leadership
  • Follow all sanitation and food safety standards
  • Provide attentive, courteous service to all guests
  • Assist with event breakdown and clean-up
Qualifications
  • Previous banquet, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
  • Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
  • Strong communication and guest service skills
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to carry trays and service equipment safely
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach frequently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
  • Indoor and occasional outdoor event settings
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels
