About the Role

The North America Talent Acquisition Manager / Recruiter is responsible for leading and executing a scalable, high-impact talent acquisition strategy across the United States and Mexico. This role ensures consistent, efficient, and high-quality hiring outcomes, strengthening Scherdel’s employer brand while enabling business growth through proactive workforce planning and best-in-class recruiting practices.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive North America Talent Acquisition strategy aligned with business priorities and growth forecasts
  • Build a consistent and scalable recruiting framework across all US and Mexico locations
  • Establish best practices for employer branding, candidate experience, and recruiting effectiveness
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance recruiting efficiency, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Full Lifecycle Recruiting
  • Own end-to-end recruitment for salaried, technical, and leadership roles
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to define role requirements, sourcing strategies, and selection criteria
  • Actively source candidates through multiple channels (direct sourcing, Linked In, referrals, job boards, etc.)
  • Ensure a high-quality, consistent candidate experience from initial engagement through offer acceptance
  • Standardize recruiting processes, tools, templates, and workflows across North America
  • Implement structured interview processes, evaluation criteria, and hiring decision frameworks
  • Optimize and recommend ATS and recruiting tools utilization
  • Ensure compliance with all local labor laws and hiring regulations in both the U.S. and Mexico
  • Workforce Planning & Business Partnership
  • Partner with HR Managers, plant leadership, and functional leaders to support workforce planning and forecasting
  • Translate business needs into proactive recruiting strategies and talent pipelines
  • Provide market insights (salary trends, talent availability, competition) to inform hiring decisions
  • Manage external recruitment partners, agencies, and service providers when necessary
  • Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure cost-effectiveness and ROI
  • Reduce reliance on agencies through strong internal sourcing capabilities over time
  • Metrics, Analytics & Reporting
  • Define, track, and report key talent acquisition metrics including time to fill, cost per hire, quality of hire, offer acceptance rate, and early turnover
  • Use data to drive decision-making, identify bottlenecks, and improve hiring outcomes
  • Onboarding & Early Retention Support
  • Partner with HR and site leadership to standardize onboarding practices
  • Support initiatives to improve early employee engagement and retention
  • Monitor new hire success and adjust recruiting strategies accordingly
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Experience managing multi-site or regional recruiting, preferably across the U.S. and Mexico
  • Strong knowledge of salaried hiring practices
  • Demonstrated success in building recruiting processes and improving hiring outcomes
  • Experience working with ATS systems and recruiting analytics
