We seek a motivated and dynamic Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire lifecycle of shipments, implement proven supply chain strategies, and lead your account with forward-thinking approaches to enhance profitability and results for your dedicated client base. A strong understanding of the 3PL business model is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Create and manage daily shipments.
- Provide daily tracking and tracing information, along with other reports, as requested by clients.
- Maintain, service, and grow existing customer relationships with excellent customer service and support.
- Execute the business plan for our core products, modes, and services with sound decision‑making and minimal oversight.
- Source carriers for dedicated and ad hoc shipments, including standard and premium options.
- Negotiate rates and manage carrier‑related issues, such as breakdowns, check calls, and late deliveries.
- Analyze existing networks, provide targeted recommendations to drive freight savings, and execute implemented strategies.
- Develop and maintain monthly operational and financial reports to monitor costs, service levels, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with management, clients, carriers, and suppliers to design optimized supply chains with assigned pickup/delivery windows, reducing transit times when possible.
- Handle fast‑paced, time‑sensitive customer requests.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Experience in managing logistics transportation services, including LTL, Truckload, and Hot‑Shots.
- Understanding of the 3PL business model and logistics industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time efficiently with minimal oversight.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in using TMS, MS Office, and other applications.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Minimum 1 year (Required), 2+ years in Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
