IMG-NA, LLC (IMG) is a System Integrator specializing in Assembly and Joining automation equipment. We provide custom Turn-Key automation equipment from our 60,000 sq ft facility in Warren and we service Tier 1 automotive suppliers throughout the Continental US, Canada and Mexico.

As a Project Buyer at IMG, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a highly competitive and dynamic supply chain, which complements IMG’s goals and direction as defined by the Company Objectives, Measurables and Quantifiers.

The Project Buyer is responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with the company's needs for cost-effective raw materials, tools, parts, and supplies to support engineering and production.

• Actively participate and assist in developing streamlined procurement processes (from RFQ to receipt of material) that focus on solid communication between IMG employees and suppliers
• Daily communication with all IMG teams;
  North America, Canada, and India
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of RFQ's, Purchase Orders, Supplier Quote Comparisons, and PO Folders
• Develop qualified suppliers to ensure adequate competition in the supply chain
• Develop and lead negotiation strategies which optimize IMG's position (cost, quality, delivery and terms/conditions)
• Evaluate supplier proposals and understand total procurement costs
• Develop sourcing strategies based on supplier consolidation and leverage
• Assist in all aspects of the purchasing process, including maintaining a network of reliable suppliers, cost analysis, sourcing, quotations, timely order placement, monitoring of order delivery timelines, and resolving any discrepancies or delivery issues
• Immediate notification to project team of any potential delay of material delivery dates.
• Broadly support IMG Manufacturing Group needs for:
• Complete and functional deliverables
• Timely responses by suppliers
• Competitive costs with an underlying drive for continuous cost savings
• Develop and manage a highly dynamic supply base which complements IMG's goals
• Develop and implement a robust commodity strategy including supplier consolidation and development
• Continuously improve processes and offer solutions to best support the organization and increase overall efficiency and effectiveness of the purchasing team
• Driving supplier Value analysis and Value Engineering
• Early supplier involvement and development
• Optimize IMG's financial performance in terms of:
• Reduce cost through understanding of total cost and key cost driver
• Ongoing drive to reduce standard costs
• Adherence to IMG's standard payment terms
• Adherence to the Limits of Authority guidelines for purchasing parameters
• Any other work assigned by Director of Supply Chain.
