Machine Tool Pipefitter

Summary

A machine tool pipefitter is a skilled tradesperson who specializes in installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems specifically on industrial machinery, like CNC machines, by precisely cutting, threading, bending, and assembling pipes according to blueprints and technical specifications, often requiring a high level of accuracy and knowledge of machine operations.

• Able to read blueprints accurately & interpret and follow complex engineering drawings and schematics
• Able to thread and cut pipe to specifications
• Able to run hoses to robots and related equipment
• Able to install all pneumatics and hydraulics
• Must be able to use hand and power tools
• Must have your own tools
• Hand and bench bending is a plus
  - Manually or with bending machines, carefully bending pipes to conform to specific angles and contours
• Leak testing and troubleshooting
• Mechanical aptitude:
  Understanding of mechanical systems and how piping integrates with machinery
• Physical strength and dexterity:
  Ability to lift and maneuver heavy pipes and components in tight spaces
• Identifying and resolving issues with pipe installation and functionality.

Preferred previous experience, but must be able and willing to learn.
