Crank Execution Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in crank machining working within a manufacturing environment
• Hands‑on experience with crankshaft manufacturing processes
• Experience with balancing rotating components/assemblies
• Strong understanding of reciprocating and rotating mechanisms
• Experience with grinding and polishing of precision components
• Proficiency operating turning equipment (manual or automated)
• Experience with CNC lathes (set‑up, operation, and/or programming)

Insight Global is looking for a Crank Execution Engineer in Flint, Michigan to support the installation, commissioning, and launch of crankshaft and rotating assembly processes in a high‑volume automotive manufacturing environment. This individual will play a hands‑on role on the plant floor, driving daily execution in alignment with production and launch priorities. The engineer will partner with OEMs, contractors, and internal teams to oversee equipment installation, resolve integration issues, and ensure systems are installed and operational per program timelines.

They will also lead equipment through the plant’s G‑compliant safety process, securing red/yellow tag approvals and ensuring all pre‑power‑on and operator readiness requirements are completed. Additionally, this individual will support equipment qualification, analyze process data to confirm capability and PPAP readiness, and lead issue resolution and process optimization during production ramp to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality operations.

$48/hr to $52/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
