Production Supervisor

Position Summary Manages, directs and coordinates activities and resources of plant shift operations. Assists in ensuring achievement of company objectives by delegating authority to shift supervisors in production, maintenance, tool room, and other related operations.

Supervises all phases of plant operations including production, quality, shipping, receiving, tool room and maintenance for second shift operations.

Provides a safe and clean working environment, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Trains, evaluates, and motivates supervisors for continued success and growth.

Reviews order and production schedules, and directs operations through subordinate supervisors.

Ensures that shipping goals, cost objectives, quality, and safety standards are met.

Follows progress of production, anticipates or investigates major causes of delays, and ensures that corrective action is taken.

Increases the use of preventative and predictive maintenance for tools and machines.

Maintains a continuous review of schedules, methods, standards or other production factors, and makes recommendations and implements changes to improve quality and reduce costs.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and five years supervisory/managerial experience in a manufacturing stamping environment.
