Material Handler
Location:
Flint
Shift: M-F, 7:00am - 4:30pm - OT may be required, including weekends
Pay Rate: $20
Our client is seeking an experienced and dependable Material Handler to support production and material flow throughout the facility. This role involves moving materials, loading and unloading shipments, and supplying parts to production areas in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential
Job Duties:
- Operate forklifts and 4-way lift trucks to move materials and products
- Load and unload trucks and incoming shipments
- Deliver parts and materials to production lines as needed
- Check in parts and kitting orders and review work orders or BOMs
- Maintain proper material flow to support production schedules
- Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Perform general housekeeping and trash removal as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous material handling, manufacturing, or warehouse experience
- Experience operating forklifts or similar material handling equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds during the shift
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Regular and reliable attendance
