Our client, a leading automotive manufacturer, is seeking a Global Supply Chain Group Leader to join their team. As a Global Supply Chain Group Leader , you will be part of the Manufacturing Operations Department supporting production teams, Group Leaders, and hourly employees . The ideal candidate will have strong leadership ,
problem-solving , and employee development skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Global Supply Chain Group Leader
Location: Flint, MI
Pay Range: $73.41/hour
What’s the Job?- Lead and develop hourly team members while fostering a high-performing and continuous improvement culture.
- Drive Global Manufacturing System (GMS) processes and support production launch and pilot activities.
- Achieve production schedules, quality standards, cost targets, and productivity goals.
- Promote safe work practices and support ergonomics, health, safety, and housekeeping initiatives.
- Coach, train, and mentor Group Leaders and employees using standardized work methods and Job Instruction Training (JIT).
- Previous leadership experience in manufacturing, production, supply chain, or operations environments.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, GMS, or similar operational excellence systems.
- Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and employee development skills.
- Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity improvement, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience working in a unionized environment and collaborating effectively with employees, union representatives, and management.
