Job SummaryInsight is seeking a proactive, patient‑centric and empathetic Nurse Practitioner to support our Urgent Care clinic in Flint, MI as a contingent/PRN Nurse Practitioner. The role supports staff and patient caseload, ensuring coverage from 8 am to 8 pm.

- Interview and examine patients to determine a diagnosis
- Perform physical exams and patient observations
- Consult with healthcare professionals and families
- Order and administer diagnostic tests
- Monitor and operate medical equipment
- Diagnose health issues
- Record patients’ medical histories and symptoms
- Maintain patient records and provide documentation for insurance companies
- Detect changes in patients’ health
- Train patients and families to manage and prevent illness and injury
- Other duties as assigned
- Eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program
- Preferred experience within the field or related work environment
- RN licensure in the state of employment or a compact party state, board certified by ANCC or AANP
- APN authorization in the state of employment for family health practice by the Board of Nurse Examiners
- Prescriptive authorization
- Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required for practice
- Knowledge of computer‑based data management programs, medical records, and point‑of‑care technology
- Understanding of federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of disease prevention
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, stressful environment while maintaining positive energy
- Willingness to participate in goal‑setting and educational activities for professional advancement
- Compassionate patient care with coworkers, exhibiting patient care second to none
- Enthusiasm and drive
