Certified Nurse Midwife

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients in OB triage to determine their disposition, in collaboration with physicians/resident physicians
• Conduct physical exams; order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostics
• Prescribe medications and contraceptive methods per Michigan CNM regulations
• Manage labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
• Provide gestational diabetes education and care
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in the patient's medical record
• Perform/interpret limited ultrasound exams as appropriate
• Provide prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care
• Collaborate with Maternal Fetal Medicine and other specialty teams
• Participate in teaching, evaluating, and mentoring medical students, residents, and other learners
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with safety standards

• OB/GYN Clinic

• Master’s degree in Nursing (required)
• Certified Nurse Midwife (required)
• BLS Certification (required)
• OB ACLS (preferred)
• 1+ year nursing experience (required)
• 2+ years OBGYN experience (preferred)
• Experience with deliveries (preferred)

• Full-time (minimum 40 hours per week)
