Description
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision‑making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $12,480. This allowance is non‑pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
Required Qualifications- Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
- Active or eligible registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS‑HCP).
Required Qualifications
- Recent inpatient surgery experience an asset.
