Commissioning Engineer

Qualified candidates must be comfortable working within one of the following locations:
Abilene, TX;
Shackelford, TX;
Saline, MI;
Port Washington, WI; or Las Cruces, NM. Relocation assistance will be provided for selected out-of-market individuals.

• 6+ years of experience in data center commissioning, mission‑critical facilities, electrical/mechanical infrastructure delivery, controls validation, critical facilities operations, construction quality, or similarly complex infrastructure environments.
• Hands‑on experience with commissioning workflows such as pre‑functional testing, functional testing, integrated systems testing, factory witness testing, site acceptance testing, failure‑mode validation, and operational turnover.
• Strong technical understanding of data center electrical, mechanical, controls, and life‑safety systems used in high‑availability environments.

• Experience in hyperscale cloud data centers, colocation campuses, semiconductor facilities, utilities, power generation, industrial facilities, or other mission‑critical infrastructure portfolios.
• Certifications such as CCP, CxA, PE, PMP, LEED AP, OSHA, NETA‑related training, or equivalent technical credentials.

The Commissioning Validator will support commissioning validation for large‑scale data center delivery programs, ensuring electrical, mechanical, controls, life‑safety, and supporting infrastructure systems are tested, validated, documented, and accepted before operational turnover. This is a technical field and program‑level validation role focused on commissioning readiness, test execution, evidence review, issue tracking, operational acceptance, and risk escalation.

• Validate commissioning execution across assigned sites, campuses, regions, or capacity programs with focus on readiness, test quality, safety, documentation, and operational acceptance.
• Support commissioning activities, including factory witness testing, pre‑functional checks, functional performance testing, integrated systems testing, failure‑mode validation, and turnover documentation review.
• Review commissioning plans, method statements, test scripts, acceptance criteria, checklists, and system‑readiness evidence before field execution.
• Observe and validate commissioning activities for MEP, controls, fire/life‑safety, BMS, EPMS, SCADA/DCIM, and supporting infrastructure systems.
• Maintain validation trackers, action registers, risk logs, defect‑aging summaries, readiness dashboards, test completion status, and leadership updates.

$68/hr to $85/hr exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
