Joe Louis Southern Kitchen is hiring a Host/Hostess in Detroit, Michigan. This is a full-time or part-time opportunity for a friendly, dependable hospitality professional who enjoys creating a welcoming first impression and helping keep restaurant service running smoothly.

As a Host/Hostess, you'll welcome guests, manage reservations and waitlists, coordinate seating, answer phones, and work closely with servers and managers to support an efficient dining room.

• Welcome every guest with a warm, friendly greeting
• Manage reservations and waitlists while providing accurate wait-time estimates
• Seat guests efficiently to maintain balanced service throughout the restaurant
• Answer incoming calls and assist with reservations and to-go orders
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entrance
• Thank guests as they leave and encourage them to return
• Assist with opening, closing, and daily side work
• Help create a positive and hospitable experience from arrival through departure

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Friendly, welcoming, and professional attitude
• Ability to stay organized in a busy restaurant environment
• Ability to manage multiple guests, reservations, and requests at once
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
