Grocery Assistance Specialist. Flint Move Collective

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently bag groceries at checkout, ensuring a minimum of five items per bag without damaging any contents.
• Assist customers by removing items from bascarts during checkout and offer help with loading bags into their vehicles.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers about grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts for designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, picking up trash inside the store and parking lot, and ensuring all areas are tidy.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise as needed.
• Understand the store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks to assist cashiers.
• Support safety programs by following procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or issues to management.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Conduct preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of any repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere for customers by addressing questions about store products.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts positively.
• Act with honesty regarding customer and business information while following instructions and seeking help when necessary.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
• Perform all essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay Range: $15.65 - $17.25 per hour
