Role Summary
The Rare Disease – Endocrinology, Senior Health & Science Specialist is a field-based specialty sales role responsible for driving growth of the Endocrinology portfolio through compliant, strategic relationships within assigned accounts. The role partners with Therapeutic Area Specialists and Key Opinion Leaders to execute promotional strategies, support appropriate access, and deliver high‑impact customer engagement.
Responsibilities- Drive customer engagement and sales performance through effective in‑person and virtual interactions across endocrinology accounts.
- Build strong, compliant relationships with endocrinologists, advanced practice providers, multidisciplinary care teams, and office staff across assigned accounts.
- Deliver approved promotional and disease‑state messaging to support appropriate Endocrinology product use.
- Identify opportunities, prioritize accounts, and support patient identification and referral pathways in endocrine disease.
- Provide information on prior authorization requirements, reimbursement support, hubs, and co‑pay resources to support patient access.
- Collate and address customer needs by collaborating with cross‑functional partners to remove access barriers and advance business objectives.
- Plan, execute, and optimize territory activities using digital tools and insights.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree OR an associate’s degree with 8+ years of work experience OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of work experience. - Minimum of 3 years experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales or marketing, or in therapeutic‑specific healthcare provider experience.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards.
- Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years disqualifies candidates.
- 3–5 years of specialty sales experience, preferably in endocrinology.
- Strong understanding of complex disease states, biologics, and specialty reimbursement.
- Experience engaging key opinion leaders and high‑influence accounts.
- Demonstrated business acumen, data‑driven decision making, and strategic thinking.
- Strong digital engagement capability (e.g., Veeva Engage, Teams, Microsoft Office) and comfort in hybrid selling models.
This role is field based and requires the colleague to reside within a workable distance of all points of business within the assigned territory. The role requires travel to all accounts/office locations within the territory and, depending on size and business need, may require overnight stays.
Compensation & BenefitsAnnual base salary ranges from $108,600 to $250,700. The role offers an additional Sales Incentive bonus. Benefits include a 401(k) plan with Pfizer matching contributions, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits covering medical, prescription drug, dental and vision.
