Fire Alarm Sales Representative – Eastern Michigan Turn Your Fire Alarm Expertise Into a Bigger Territory—and Bigger Earning Potential
If you know the commercial fire alarm world, understand how to work with electrical contractors, and can spot a strong bid/spec opportunity before your competitors do, this could be a great next move.
We’re looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Sales Representative to develop business throughout Eastern Michigan. You’ll have the freedom to manage your territory, build contractor relationships, pursue engineered fire alarm projects, and grow a strong book of business.
This is a field-based sales opportunity for someone who understands both the technical and relationship sides of fire alarm sales.
Compensation & Benefits- First 6 months: $100,000 annualized base salary
- After 6 months: $50,000 base + uncapped commission

- Large Eastern Michigan territory with significant growth potential
- Develop business with electrical contractors, engineers, consultants, and end users throughout Eastern Michigan
- Identify and pursue commercial fire alarm bid/spec opportunities
- Review drawings, plans, specifications, and project requirements
- Perform takeoffs and develop proposals for engineered fire alarm projects
- Sell new systems, upgrades, service agreements, and related life safety solutions
- Provide contractors with technical support throughout the bidding process
- Partner with engineering, operations, and project teams from sale through execution
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of upcoming projects
- Maintain sales activity, opportunities, and forecasts within CRM systems
- Represent the company during customer meetings, contractor visits, and industry events
- Commercial fire alarm or closely related low-voltage sales experience
- Experience working within the bid/spec environment
- Ability to read plans and specifications and perform takeoffs
- Understanding of engineered fire alarm systems and applications
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and life safety requirements
- Strong business development and relationship-building skills
- Ability to independently manage a large sales territory
- Experience with NOTIFIER and/or Potter fire alarm systems
- Established relationships with electrical contractors throughout Eastern Michigan
- Experience with access control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection, sound/mass notification, or other integrated low-voltage systems
