Are you ready to take on an essential role in ensuring safety and compliance in utility operations? As an Underground Utility Locator, you will be a crucial part of our team, tasked with accurately locating underground facilities, including electric power lines and gas lines. This position is vital for adhering to client and state regulations.
Responsibilities:- Locating and marking underground facilities by using specialized transmission equipment.
- Navigating various terrains around construction, commercial, and residential areas, regardless of weather conditions.
- Interpreting job orders, blueprints, and maps for efficient service delivery.
- Conducting regular and emergency locates during standard and overtime hours to meet customer needs.
- Effectively communicating and collaborating with customers and team members.
- Ensuring a damage-free work environment through constant communication.
- Utilizing technology and tools essential for this role.
- Fostering teamwork in both independent and collaborative settings.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid state-issued driver's license.
- Problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to read and interpret various print types.
- Capacity to lift over 50lbs and walk/stand for several hours daily.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Successful completion of a background check (no violations in the last 5 years).
- Pass a DOT drug test.
