Join Our Team as an Underground Utility Locator!

Are you ready to take on an essential role in ensuring safety and compliance in utility operations? As an Underground Utility Locator, you will be a crucial part of our team, tasked with accurately locating underground facilities, including electric power lines and gas lines. This position is vital for adhering to client and state regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Locating and marking underground facilities by using specialized transmission equipment.
  • Navigating various terrains around construction, commercial, and residential areas, regardless of weather conditions.
  • Interpreting job orders, blueprints, and maps for efficient service delivery.
  • Conducting regular and emergency locates during standard and overtime hours to meet customer needs.
  • Effectively communicating and collaborating with customers and team members.
  • Ensuring a damage-free work environment through constant communication.
  • Utilizing technology and tools essential for this role.
  • Fostering teamwork in both independent and collaborative settings.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret various print types.
  • Capacity to lift over 50lbs and walk/stand for several hours daily.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Successful completion of a background check (no violations in the last 5 years).
  • Pass a DOT drug test.

Schedule:
