New work has come in Position DescriptionVENTEON and Harvard Resource Solutions are hiring Machine Tool Electricians to provide support in Flint, MI. You will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and modifying electrical systems on industrial machine tools and manufacturing equipment. Ensure that production machinery operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with electrical codes, company standards, and preventive maintenance programs.

POSITION TYPE:
Full time. Direct Hire. In Plant.

PAY: $30.000 - $36.00 per hour based on skills and years of experience.

Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required along with completion of an electrical apprenticeship, technical training, or equivalent industrial electrical experience.
4+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience preferred.

Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, and automation equipment.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.

Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and industrial safety practices.

Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CNC machine tools (Mazak, Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Makino, Mori Seiki, etc.).Experience troubleshooting PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Omron.

Knowledge of robotics, servo systems, HMI programming, and industrial networking.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Working knowledge of AC/DC circuits, motors, drives, relays, contractors, and industrial controls.

Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems as they relate to machine operation.

Basic computer proficiency for maintenance software and documentation.

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Machine Tool Electrician Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components on CNC machines, machining centers, presses, conveyors, robotics, and other industrial equipment.

Diagnose electrical, electronic, and control system failures using electrical test equipment, PLC software, and diagnostic tools.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, ladder logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

Install and wire motors, drives, sensors, control panels, transformers, switches, and related electrical components.

Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment, including input/output devices and communication networks.

Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime.

Replace defective electrical components and verify proper operation following repairs.

Assist with equipment installations, machine moves, and facility electrical projects.

Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies.

Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history in maintenance management systems.

Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers, and production personnel to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability.

Recommend equipment upgrades and process improvements to increase productivity and reduce downtime.

Maintain inventory of electrical repair parts and materials.

Physical Requirements Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Work around moving machinery, electrical equipment, and industrial noise.

Ability to distinguish wire colors and safely perform electrical testing.

May be required to work overtime, weekends, or respond to emergency equipment failures.

Working Conditions Manufacturing or industrial facility environment.

Exposure to electrical hazards, machinery, oils, lubricants, dust, heat, and noise.

Required use of appropriate safety equipment.
