FOSTER CARE CASE MANAGER – GENESSEE & SURROUNDING COUNTIES

Full‑time position. Salary starts at $47,000.00 with comprehensive benefits effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

We are looking for a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in social work or a related human services field. Preferred:
Licensed by the State of Michigan. One year experience in child welfare preferred.

• Assume primary responsibility for all cases on assigned caseload, providing case management, social casework, engagement, mentoring, and community referral.
• Collect, assess and document client progress; complete documentation, reports, statistics, and assignments within required time frames.
• Work collaboratively with referral sources, agencies, institutions, and individuals involved in the client’s situation.
• Prepare for and attend all scheduled court hearings for assigned cases.
• Take primary responsibility for intake and initial placement services for new referrals.
• Coordinate placement arrangements with caregivers, including transportation of children as needed.
• Provide intensive supportive casework to child, birth family, and caregiver during initial placement and replacement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related human service field.
• Licensed by the State of Michigan (preferred).

• One year experience in child welfare (preferred).

• Participate in a system of 24‑hour availability to clients, foster and adoptive parents, as required.
• Unrestricted valid driver’s license with good driving record and reliable transportation; proof of current automobile insurance required.
