Now Hiring Licensing Specialist Foster Care Community Engagement
Wage $43,888 annually
Location Flint, MI
Status Full Time

What You’ll Do
  • Blend community engagement, recruitment, and licensing expertise to grow and support a network of foster families.
  • Develop and execute innovative recruitment strategies to increase foster home availability.
  • Build relationships with community leaders, faith organizations, and partners.
  • Plan and attend community events, presentations, and outreach initiatives.
  • Coordinate and facilitate foster parent orientations and pre‑service training.
  • Conduct home studies and licensing assessments for foster families.
  • Complete annual renewals, investigations, and compliance activities.
  • Provide ongoing training, support, and consultation to foster caregivers.
  • Track and measure recruitment outcomes and program effectiveness.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related human services field.
  • Experience in child welfare or a similar service setting (preferred).
  • Michigan Licensed Social Worker (preferred).
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for advocacy, community engagement, and supporting families.
Additional Requirements
  • Valid Michigan driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
