School Social Worker Opening – Mason, MI

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Blazer Jobs is seeking a fully licensed School Social Worker for a short-term onsite position. This role will support middle school students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) through counseling, advocacy, and coordination of services to promote academic and social success.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling and behavioral support services to students with IEPs

• Conduct assessments to identify social, emotional, and environmental factors affecting student performance

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention strategies

• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate, timely documentation

• Assist in crisis intervention and connect families with community resources as needed

Qualifications:

• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) through LARA

• Full Approval or Professional Certification as a School Social Worker through the Michigan Department of Education (MDE)

• No Limited License Social Workers will be considered

• Previous school-based experience preferred

• Must be able to work onsite
