Emterra Environmental USA Corp is a leading recycling and waste disposal solution provider. We seek an Operations Coordinator to join our team in Flint, Michigan.
Responsibilities:Administrative Tasks:
- Assist the Operations Supervisor with administrative tasks, including scheduling, correspondence, and project coordination.
- Maintain and organize files, records, and documentation related to business operations.
- Prepare and distribute reports, presentations, and other documents as required.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing information about our services.
- Handle customer complaints and issues, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.
- Coordinate daily route logistics to ensure efficient residential and commercial collection operations across assigned service areas.
- Assist in planning and adjusting route assignment based on volume fluctuations, staffing levels, equipment availability and service requirements.
- Serve as a central point of communication between drivers, dispatch and supervisors to address route issues, missed stops and service disruption in real time.
- Track route progress throughout the day, identifying delays, inefficiencies, and missed pickups; implement corrective actions to maintain service level.
- Support route optimization efforts by analyzing houses per hour, drive time, and route density to improve overall efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of route changes, service exceptions, completion status, and customer issues for reporting and follow up.
- Coordinate contingency plans for call‑offs, equipment breakdowns, weather impacts or high‑volume days to ensure continuity of service.
- Ensure all routing and logistical activities are performed in compliance with safety standards, DOT guidelines, and company policies.

- Strong organizational and communication skills.
