Job Overview

Universal Logistics is seeking CDL-A Local Shuttle Drivers. This is a home daily position with steady freight, consistent schedules, and competitive hourly pay.

2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM ($24.40/hr) - Monday through Friday

3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM ($24.40/hr) - Sunday night start time

Home Daily

What You’ll Do
  • Local shuttle runs – start and end your day in Flint, MI
  • Follow all company and customer safety regulations
  • Ensure timely and safe transport of freight

Requirements
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Experience:

    6 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past full calender year OR Recent CDL school graduate
  • Clean driving record with strong safety history
  • Ability to meet DOT requirements
  • Strong communication and time management skills
Responsibilities
  • Safely transport materials between terminal and customer locations
  • Follow delivery schedules based on customer production needs
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Maintain DOT compliance at all times
  • Communicate with dispatch and operations teams
  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment
Training
  • T2T (Train-to-Train) program required for recent graduates
  • Experienced drivers may be exempt based on prior experience
