CDL-A Driver; Tanker Endorsement

Michigan Spill Response is hiring a full-time
CDL-A Driver with a Tanker Endorsement
to support emergency spill response and environmental cleanup projects throughout Michigan. This is a hands‑on position for a safety‑minded, dependable driver who is comfortable working both behind the wheel and alongside our field team at job sites.

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Rotating on‑call availability for evening and weekend emergency spills
• After‑hours emergency calls are dispatched from home

• Operate vacuum trucks, tankers and other specialty vehicles for emergency response and planned environmental projects
• Safely transport non‑hazardous materials
• Perform hands‑on fieldwork, including spill containment, cleanup, industrial cleaning and remediation
• Inspect and maintain assigned vehicles, equipment and response supplies
• Complete driver logs, inspection reports and other required documentation

Our in‑house training program provides the certifications and hands‑on instruction needed for the position, including 40‑hour HAZWOPER training.

• Valid CDL‑A with Tanker Endorsement
• Clean driving record
• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying conditions
• Willingness to participate in a rotating on‑call schedule
• Dependable, safety‑minded and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Environmental services, vacuum truck or spill‑response experience preferred, but not required
