Chemical Engineer

Wood is seeking a chemical engineer to join its business unit Projects, focusing on the Oil, Gas and New Energies (OGNE) area. This opportunity is on-site. The Wood Colombia team is looking for a professional in chemical engineering or related fields, with 2 to 3 years of specific experience in engineering projects within the Oil & Gas sector, to work as a process engineer.

Base of work:
Bogotá. Proficiency in tools such as Hysys, Pipephase, Pipesim, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field visits for data collection and gathering required information for project development.

• Develop typical engineering project documents in their different phases (conceptual, basic, detailed), such as:
Industrial Consumption Summary, Process Description, Material and Energy Balances, Equipment Lists, line and interconnections.

• Elaborate process plans according to project specifications, generally including:
Block diagrams, process flow diagrams, and diagrams of pipelines and instrumentation, services and decommissioning diagrams.

• Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of documents, to ensure proper handling of information and engineering integrity.

• Attend scheduled workshops during project development, such as risk analysis, constructability, design review, peer review, etc.

• Execute any other responsibilities assigned by your immediate supervisor and according to the needs of the company.

• Inform the employer or contractor promptly about the dangers and risks latent in their workplace.

• Provide clear, truthful, and complete information about your health status.

• Comply with the norms, regulations, and instructions of the company's Occupational Safety and Health Management System.

• Seek comprehensive care for your health. Participate in the training activities in Occupational Safety and Health defined in the training plan of the OHS and

• Participate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the OHS-SST.

• Report promptly accidents and incidents, unsafe acts and conditions to HSSE or COPASST.

Expected:

• Basic knowledge of process simulations such as HYSYS, PRO II, STONER, and other oil & gas process simulators or pipeline lines for oil pipelines and collection and distribution systems.
