Electrical Designer
Wood is seeking an Electrical Designer with solid experience in 3D modeling and execution of electrical plans. Capable of integrating into multidisciplinary teams and contributing precision, quality, and technical criteria in Oil & Gas, industrial, mining, or infrastructure projects to join their business unit focused on Oil, Gas, and New Energies (OGNE). This opportunity is based in Bogotá.

- Elaboration of 2D/3D electrical plans in AutoCAD, Cad Worxs, and/or AVEVA E3D.
- Modeling and routing of trays, ducts, and pipelines.
- Development of single-line, three-line, control, and loop diagrams.
- Elaboration of lighting, power, and telecommunications layouts.
- Preparation of MTO/MTR, cable lists, and specifications.
- Coordination with Civil, Mechanical, Piping, and Instrumentation disciplines.
- Participation in projects in different engineering phases.

Required:
- Technologist or engineer in Electricity/Electronics/Automation/Drafting, or related fields.
- More than 5 years of experience in electrical design.
- Proven experience in Oil & Gas or industrial.
- Proficiency in:
- AutoCAD 2D (advanced)
- 3D modeling software (Cad Worxs, Smart Plant, and/or AVEVA E3D)
- DIAlux (desirable)
- Knowledge of NEC, RETIE, and industrial standards.
Desirable:
- Basic/intermediate English (60%)
Key Competencies
- Autonomy and technical responsibility.
- High level of detail and precision in modeling.
- Effective communication and multi-disciplinary team work.
- Ability to work under standards and quality processes.
Plus:
- Experience with international clients or workshare projects.
- Advanced modeling of classified zones and grounding systems.
- Design of grounding systems, shielding, and classified areas.
- Experience in process plants, refineries, or production stations.
