We are seeking a new talent to join the Technology Operations team. Responsible for designing, maintaining, executing and improving disaster recovery plans (DRP) for cloud and data center environments, ensuring the operational continuity of critical services. Work in conjunction with infrastructure, cloud, security and application teams to ensure that systems can be recovered within the defined RTO and RPO objectives, meeting resilience and business continuity standards.
Activities:
- Define, document and maintain disaster recovery plans (DRP) for critical services
- Raise and update inventory of applications, dependencies and service criticality
- Define RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective) together with business and IT
- Design recovery strategies (backup/restore, pilot light, warm standby, active-active)
- Coordinate and execute DRP tests (simulations, failover, failback)
- Validate test results and propose continuous improvements
- Monitor compliance with backup and replication policies
- Coordinate with infrastructure, cloud and database teams for DR implementation
- Manage and validate data replication mechanisms between sites or regions
- Ensure availability of updated runbooks and recovery procedures
- Participate in major incident management related to outages or disasters
- Lead DRP activation processes in real situations
- Ensure compliance with standards (ISO 22301, best practices for continuity)
- Identify risks and single points of failure (SPOF) in the architecture
- Generate status reports, compliance and maturity of DRP
- Collaborate with security areas for alignment with continuity plans (BCP)
Skills:
- Cloud (AWS / Azure): AWS Backup, Amazon S3 (versioning, lifecycle), Amazon RDS (snapshots, multi-AZ, read replicas), AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery (DRS), Cloud Watch (monitoring and alerts), Regions and availability (multi-AZ)
- Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), Azure Storage (redundancy: LRS, GRS), Azure SQL (geo-replication), Azure Monitor, Regional architecture and availability zones
- DR / Continuity:
Design of DRP, Definition of RTO / RPO, Recovery strategies (pilot light, warm standby, active-active), Business continuity plans (BCP), Execution of DR tests, Business impact analysis (BIA), Crisis and incident management - Infrastructure / Data Center:
Data replication (synchronous / asynchronous), Storage (SAN / NAS basic), Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), High availability (HA), Failover / failback, Backup management, Operating systems:
Linux (basic/intermediate), Windows Server, Basic administration of services, Troubleshooting in system recovery, Networking:
Concepts of connectivity between sites (VPN, Express Route, Direct Connect), DNS and failover, Load balancing, Validation of accesses in DR scenarios - Tools:
Enterprise backup tools (Veeam, Commvault, similar), Azure Dev Ops / JIRA, Monitoring tools, Technical documentation and runbooks - Plus (optional):
Automation (Bash / Power Shell), Terraform / IaC (notions), Knowledge in cyber resilience, Experience in audits or compliance, Cloud certifications (AWS / Azure), Certifications in continuity (ISO 22301, DRII, etc.)
