Description
Long-Lewis Auto Group is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Accounts Receivable;
Registrations Clerk to join our centralized accounting team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the financial operations of multiple dealerships by ensuring accurate processing of customer payments, maintaining accounts receivable records, and assisting with vehicle registration-related administrative functions. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process daily deposits and accurately apply customer payments.
- Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure all payments are properly recorded and posted.
- Prepare and distribute invoices and customer statements as needed.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing issues and payment status.
- Process warranties, GAP claims, and cancellation requests.
- Complete and process vehicle registration paperwork while ensuring compliance with state and dealership requirements.
- Maintain accurate registration records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
- Work closely with dealership staff and other accounting team members to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain organized files and documentation in compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Accounting or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in an accounts receivable, registrations, title processing, or general accounting role is preferred.
- One to three years of relevant accounting or administrative experience preferred.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable and general accounting procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with accounting software and dealership management systems is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
