This position provides administrative and clerical support to the undergraduate application processing area of admissions. This position is responsible for processing undergraduate admission applications, creating computer files, maintaining files, determining residency status for tuition fee purposes, cross-training job responsibilities with other undergraduate admissions processing personnel, scanning and indexing documents, and determining academic actions. This position also involves maintaining Banner admission tables, generating admission reports, and other duties as assigned.

This position requires a thorough knowledge of UNA's admission policies and academic actions. This position communicates verbally and in writing with students, parents, coworkers, and other institution and community representatives on a daily basis.

* Create and maintain files for admission applicants using currently utilized systems (Banner and Slate);

* Review admission documents for admission requirements (high school transcripts, college transcripts, etc.);

* Determine residency status for tuition/fee purposes;

* Make acceptance recommendations and/or decisions regarding applicants under the supervision of the director;

* Determine correct academic action to apply to new students;

* Cross-train job responsibilities with other undergraduate admissions processing personnel;

* Assist with generating admission reports using Argos and Excel;

* Assist with maintaining Banner admission tables;

* Communicate through telephone, office visits, mail, and email with parents, students, coworkers, and other institution and community representatives;

* Scan and index admission documents;

* Perform all other related duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

To be determined.

* High school diploma/equivalent is required;

* Bachelor's degree is preferred;

* CIS/CS background and higher education work experience, preferred;

* Ellucian Banner, Slate, and ARGOS experience, preferred.
