Business Office Manager

Interim Position 8:00AM-4:30 Monday - Friday
Full-Time Opportunity in Florence, AL

As a valued member of our team, we are seeking a highly motivated and organized Business Office Manager to join our dynamic organization.

About the Role:

As a Business Office Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business office functions. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the office, including supervising staff, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of office staff, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and evaluating performance

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and databases, including patient information, billing, and insurance claims

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and OIG guidelines

  • Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures to improve office efficiency and productivity

  • Manage cash handling and financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable

  • Coordinate with other departments, including clinical and therapy services, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration

  • Identify and address any operational inefficiencies or issues, and implement solutions to resolve them

  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed, including answering phones, responding to emails, and providing exceptional customer service

Requirements:
  • experience in a similar role or related field
    - Long Term Care

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information
