Construction Site Superintendent

e are looking for a highly productive Construction Superintendent to join one of the leading General Contractors in Birmingham, AL. This position is accountable for the on-site supervision of commercial projects. This is a family-oriented environment where everyone on the team has a role and matters.

• Oversight of commercial projects
• Thorough review and understanding of the project documents
• Ensure each project meets specifications and quality
• Communicate and resolve document inconsistencies as needed
• Site management of sub-contractors to ensure that the schedule and the budget is being met
• Advanced scheduling, communication internally and externally
• Identify errors with schedule and develop/execute plan to provide scheduling accuracy
• Management of the project costs to ensure the project is in budget
• Prompt reporting of bid or cost inconsistencies upon discovery
• Review of subcontractors pay requests and change orders and make recommendations
• Prompt documentation, justification and communication of all extra work items
• Review of shop drawings
• Weekly or Bi-weekly Subcontractor Meetings
• Preparation of Punch Lists
• Daily logs of work and weather
• Weekly Payroll reporting
• Routine meetings with subs and internal management to discuss schedule look ahead

• Minimum of 5yrs experience in commercial construction or related field
• Ability to manage small to large projects
• Well versed in managing subs
• Ability to interpret plans and specs
• Team Player
• Ability to communicate well internally and externally
• Proactive mentality
